Chesapeake Bay Bound

After eight months of roosting in our hometown, we finally flew the coop and headed to one of our favorite parts of the country, coastal Virginia. With our van packed to the brim and work and school books in tow, we split the eleven hour drive in two days because we have come to accept that five to six hours in the car is about our limit, and we are okay with that.

We have been swimming in the chilly pool, walking the dock and basking in the views. We are in the second smallest county in the state of Virginia and while it feels quite remote it is only an hour away from some of the most historically significant landmarks of our nation.

We are a quarter of the way through our stay and look forward to the next several weeks on the Bay!
