One last hike in Colorado

A four mile hike. No complaints. The best pizza ever for dinner. A rainbow. A spectacular sunset. A perfect evening to end our time in Colorado.

This morning we leisurely packed up our backpacks, stopped for one last coffee, said our farewells to Granby and hit the road. With plenty of time to spare before our 4 pm flight which turned to 5pm…., we stopped for one last trail walk on Lookout Mountain just outside of Denver. Roads packed with mountain bikers and the trails amply filled with tourists enjoying the view over the city and a gander at the grave of Buffalo Bill, we took our time to walk, wander and gaze.

After a successful car rental drop off and a breeze through security, we staked our claim on the second floor, utilizing the outlets and comfortable seats to settle in for a longer than anticipated wait for our Frontier flight home. However, a slight delay was totally worth the budget flights that allowed us to experience the beauty of Colorado and her majestic landscapes. Until next time, Colorado.
